This stay in Gijon was wonderful. The paradore was beautifully situation and decorated. It has a fine eestaurant set in a lovely garden. The staff is exeptionally comtetant and friendly. I especially like the very efficient and easy to use Internet connection. We used the special five days pass, whiuch turned oiut to be an excellent value for money.

My husband and i had a delightful two night stay at the Parador in Gijon. We had a quiet spacious room with a lovely view of the park. We enjoyed being so close to the park and seeing so many wonderful birds. Gijon is situated perfectly for nice drives around the Asturian area. The complimentary breakfast has a large variety of options from cheeses, eggs, fruits, cereal, variety of breads and fresh orange juice. We also had a wonderful memorable dinner there. Good food. I would definitely go back. I agree it is a little hard to find.

We did not enjoy our stay in Parador of Gijon. At a scale of 0-10 it is a 5. Nothing special, not the rooms, not the sorrounding area, neither the breakfast. I would recomand to choose a regular hotel, if you really need to stay in Gijon, and not pay about 180 Euro per day. There is a small city park near the hotel but it is dirty and the hotel does not even clean the stairs who lead to it from the hotel. And another remark - no double beds at this hotel.

My wife and I had the most delightful stay at Parador de Gijon on 15 Sept. Our room was spacious, the bed almost as comfortable as our own, and the staff could not be more helpful. The park setting that the parador is located in is just wonderful. Just a short distance (1.0 K) north is a long beach and boardwalk (great for a 5+ kilometer RT run), with great shops and lots of restaurants. The restaurant at the Parador de Gijon was superb; the complimentary breakfast was excellent, as was our dinner the evening before. I would go back to this parador, but next time I would stay a few extra nights.
